Good morning everybody, welcome to this years coverage of the events around the 28th Kagyu Monlam, which will take place from the 15th to the 22th of December in Bodhgaya. Please check the official Kagyu Monlam website for details about the Monlam schedule and activities taking place before the Monlam.
While the Monlam is still one month away the main organizer Lama Chodrak, arrived ten days ago in Bodhgaya and the on-site preparations for the Monlam are in full progress.
A couple of days ago the Torma group, around seventy monks, nuns and lay people from different monasteries in India and Nepal have arrived in Bodhgaya and the Bhutanese Monastery bears witness to their wonderful work.
We hope many of you can come to Bodhgaya this year to celebrate with us the 900th anniversary of the first Karmapa Dusum Khyenpa and participate in the Monlam. The good news for all friends around the world who won’t be able to come to Bodhgaya in person this year is that there will be again live webcasts of all the major Monlam events including the teachings of His Holiness Karmapa before the Monlam.
